Volunteering Opportunities with EnviroAbility

About EnviroAbility

EnviroAbility Limited is a local charity established in 1999 and based in Ross-on-Wye. The primary aims are to set up, develop, manage and promote projects that integrate people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, the long-term unemployed, and people with mental health or addiction issues, and that benefit the community and the environment. We provide people with real work opportunities and experiences that are both valuable and visible to the larger community.

Rather than simply focusing on ‘what’ we do, we put a great deal of energy into the ‘way’ or ‘how’ we do it. EnviroAbility run various different projects from refurbishing second hand bikes to running a second hand bookshop, and the list goes on, please see our website and Facebook page for a break-down of all of our different projects There are always opportunities for people to give a little of their time and ability to contribute.

Volunteering opportunities

-Do you have a few hours to spare on a Monday morning to volunteer for a local charity? Do you have a clean driving licence and enjoy driving larger vans? If this sounds like you we would love to hear from you. We are currently looking for a willing volunteer to drive one of our vehicles on a Monday morning 9am-12pm (approx), working alongside some of the best volunteers to collect clean recycling (paper and cardboard) from businesses in and around Ross.

-Volunteers required for our second hand bookshop. We are currently seeking keen volunteers to assist in the running of our second hand bookshop in Ross, which also houses our Shop mobility project where we loan our scooters and wheelchairs to local people and those visiting the town with mobility issues.

-Volunteering opportunities are available at our charity shop/office at the Old Mill. Jobs will include assisting with sorting donations, dealing with customers, taking phone calls, and general tidying of the shop.
